Women’s World of Boxing…

was founded in 2007 by Former Heavyweight, Personal Group/Private Boxing Trainer, and On-Set Boxing Consultant, Reese Scott; A Registered Amateur Fighter + Licensed USA Boxing Coach, who's trained over 1,000 women and girls on her mission to open New York's first women's boxing gym.

Coach Reese is a Registered Amateur Fighter and Certified, Licensed USA Boxing Coach, On-Set Boxing Consultant, Motivational Speaker, Owner and Founder of Women’s World of Boxing, East Harlem, NYC.

Coach Reese began boxing in 2003 when she was looking for a way to get in shape and shed some of her 220 pounds. Through the sport, she found confidence, developed inner-strength, lost over 70 pounds, and started Women’s World of Boxing Club in 2007 to offer women a safe, comfortable and uplifting environment to learn the sport of boxing.

Her love of the sweet science, along with her total body transformation, led to her leaving her 19-year career in publishing and choosing her mission to open the first women’s boxing gym in East Harlem, New York in February 2018.

Since 2007, Reese has motivated women and children with stories of her personal wins and losses in hopes that they too would find their power, earning her the name “boxing therapist”. Her clients have shared that her use of life/boxing metaphors during training helped them learn how to unapologetically put themselves first, fully explore their options, create their own openings, find their voice and courage, and make bold moves, not just in the ring, but in all aspects of their lives. Reese has been celebrated in major national and international advertising campaigns, been featured in magazines, podcasts, and print and television news. In addition to training women in group classes and private sessions, she established the WWB Girls Club to train neighborhood girls for free or discounted rates. She’s been approached by neighborhood groups to train people in need, including a partnership with the local police precinct to train children entering the system who were victims of assault or in need of mentorship, and with a neurologist looking to empower his patients battling Parkinson’s disease.
