WWB Girl’s Club!

WWB Girl’s Club! is the non-profit focus of Women’s World of Boxing Inc. designed to combat the alarming physical and psychological health hazards affecting America’s young girls. WWB Girl’s Club! mission is to provide after school programs, summer camp, and offer events that focus on empowering young girls by using boxing and physical activity as an educational intervention to support girls’ health and wellness in childhood and early womanhood.

If a girl does not participate in sports by the age of 10, there is only a 10% likelihood she will be participating at age 25. Research suggests that physical activity is an effective tool for reducing the symptoms of stress and depression among girls. Sports help girls develop leadership and teamwork skills, thereby girls who participate in sports have higher self-esteem and self-pride.

WWB Girl’s Club! will provide an outlet for girls to exercise, compete, socialize and most of all, have fun while exploring the sport of boxing. Once established in our own space, WWB Girl’s Club! will consist of teams and various divisions with girls ranging from 6 to 19.
