Why I Believe Everything Is Possible

I was on the floor at the Mendez training and Henry came downstairs to give me a name and number and told me to call them back. He said it was Walgreen's they mentioned something about wanting me for a commercial.

I thanked him and made a mental note to call them back after I finished training; I figured we wouldn't be shooting the commercial THAT evening so I had time.

When I called them back, they gave me the details. I asked them if it was ok if I wore my ‪#‎womensworldofboxing‬ ‪#‎nyc‬ T-Shirt. They said yes.

I asked them if it was ok that I had tattoos. They said yes.

I told them I had really short hair, and asked if that was ok. They said yes!

I told them that I'm not an actor, I just seem to end up on TV more than the average person without PR, or an agent. They said, "The client loves you, you're perfect as you are and we just want you to be you and do what you do!" I told them that I was happy that we wanted the same things!

I believe everything is possible because brands are realizing that perfection comes in all sizes, ages, cultures and is perfectly beautifully flawed.

I believe all things are possible because when I started boxing at 31, I used to weigh almost 215lbs, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and was at high risk for diabetes and heart disease. I'm F'N 43, and in THE BEST TOTAL MIND-BODY-SPIRIT SHAPE OF MY LIFE. All my levels are normal and my doctor says my heart beats stronger than someone in their 20's.

Reese Scott, Founder of Women's World of Boxing, lets us in on the importance of speed in her game and how she finds relief from muscle pain at her local Walgreens.

I believe all things are possible because I found my light, my strength, my courage, and my purpose.

I believe all things are possible because I've learned to see every day as a gift and an opportunity to make things possible.

I believe all things are possible because I am still here...on this earth...on this page, sharing, with you.

To Walgreen's this commercial is about 'Likes' and 'Shares' so please for them, do both if you feel and don't, if you don't. Just don't be mean, because mean people suck.

To me, this opportunity is about the high's and low's on this journey called life. It's about turning off the criticism, the hate and the words that made you doubt yourself and agree with them. To me, this about being doing what you love, loving what you do, being chosen and being enough as you are....so choose YOU and come box with me on the corner of happy + healthy.
